What documents are required for a student visa? #
The required documents vary depending on the destination country, but a complete application always includes the following elements:
🇫🇷 France – Long-Stay Student Visa (VLS-TS) #
- Admission letter or official enrollment certificate from the French institution.
- Valid passport (at least 2 blank pages and valid for a minimum of 12 months).
- Proof of financial resources:
- Bank statement showing at least €615 per month (or a financial guarantor).
- Recent bank statements of the guarantor.
- Proof of accommodation in France (reservation, housing certificate, or rental contract).
- Health insurance certificate covering the entire stay.
- Completed and signed long-stay visa application form.
- Recent passport-size photos meeting the official requirements.

🇩🇪 Germany – National Student Visa (D Visa) #
- Admission letter from a German university.
- Valid passport
- Proof of financial means:
- Blocked account (Sperrkonto) with a minimum of €11,208 per year,
- or a financial guarantor (Verpflichtungserklärung).
- Health insurance valid in Germany.
- Proof of accommodation (shared flat, student residence, rental contract).
- Visa application form + biometric photos.
- Language certificates:
- TestDaF / DSH for German-taught programs,
- TOEFL / IELTS for English-taught programs.

🇺🇸 United States – F-1 Student Visa #
- Admission form (I-20) issued by the U.S. university.
- Valid passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the end date of studies).
- DS-160 form completed online.
- Proof of SEVIS payment ($350) and visa application fee ($160).
- Proof of financial support: bank statements, scholarships, sponsor letter, or affidavit of support.
- Proof of housing or planned accommodation.
- Mandatory health insurance (provided or required by the university).
- TOEFL or IELTS certificate.
